We are Hiring! AfricaPay International Ltd is looking for a Cross-Border Sales Specialist in Johannesburg, South Africa. The role requires a minimum of 10+ years of proven expertise in sales and understanding of cross-border payments or remittances. This is an exciting opportunity to work on pioneering solutions in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities :• Sales Leadership: Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for cross-border remittance solutions with banks in Southern Africa. • Market Expansion: Identify and prioritize banking partners with high remittance potential, focusing on migrant corridors and digital initiatives. • Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with C-suite and senior bank executives to promote client solutions. • Solution Sales: Drive adoption of cross-border capabilities, including card-based remittances, account-to-account transfers, digital wallets, and partner networks. • Commercial Strategy: Develop go-to-market plans, pricing models, and joint business strategies to boost adoption and growth. • Collaboration: Work with product, compliance, marketing, and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions. • Market Intelligence: Track regulatory changes, FX controls, competitor offerings, and remittance trends. • Performance Management: Own revenue, transaction volume, and activation targets for Southern African banking clients.Knowledge and Experience• 10+ years in sales, business development, or partnership management in financial services, preferably in cross-border payments or remittances. • Proven success working with banks in Southern Africa. • Strong understanding of the remittance ecosystem, including corridors, pricing, regulations, and customer behaviour. • Established network in South African retail and digital banks. • Ability to navigate complex decision-making in financial institutions. • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills. • Excellent communication and presentation abilities. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
