Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Crude Trader located in London, Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf through 12th November 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (London Time).All interested applicants, please read the Data Privacy Notice before submitting your application.The Crude Trader will be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies to maximise value through the monetisation of Chevron’s equity crude production and third-party trading opportunities across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caspian region. This role is part of the Global Sweet Crude Trading team and will work closely with trading hubs in Singapore and Houston to optimise global flows and capture commercial opportunities across the value chain.We are seeking high-energy professionals who are results-focused, commercially astute, and collaborative. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical rigour, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure trading environment.Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:Develop and implement trading strategies that leverage Chevron’s asset flows and third-party opportunities.Monetise equity crude production and capitalise on arbitrage opportunities within and beyond EMEA markets.Initiate, develop, and execute global arbitrage strategies ensuring safe and reliable off-take at Chevron assets.Trade physical and financial commodities (spot and term) to optimise system value and generate trading profit.Engage with industry experts and maintain strong internal and external relationships.Negotiate and execute spot and term contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and trading procedures.Monitor deal profitability, manage risk (pricing, logistics, regulatory), and ensure operational excellence.Collaborate globally exhibiting strong teamwork behaviours, to align trading strategies with supply and demand trends.Evaluate market fundamentals and trends, sharing insights across trading teams.Clearly communicate strategy, transactions, and operational requirements to team and support staff.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree (preferred fields: Chemical Engineering, Economics, Business).Minimum 2–3 years of experience in crude oil trading, arbitrage, marine flows, or international markets.Demonstrated understanding of market fundamentals, position management, and trading economics.Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and execute profitable trades.Knowledge of crude oil pricing, exposure management, and transportation logistics.Experience in physical marketing, inventory management, and hedging.Proven leadership and teamwork behaviours in diverse, global teams.Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task under pressure.Flexible approach to working hours to accommodate trading demands.Periodic travel may be required.Relocation Options:Relocation will not be considered.International ConsiderationsExpatriate assignments will not be considered.Chevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.Workplace Inclusion & DiversityChevron is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
