CS and O Commodity Buyer

GCOO is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational and technical support to our global businesses and helping improve customer service and efficiency. People responsibility: N Report to: Country Head of Procurement To work with Regional and Group Procurement to develop and drive the long-term commercial strategy of a general group of commodity (ies) enabling HSBC to step change its savings delivery. To ensure seamless supply of goods and services to HSBC. To proactively direct all aspects of the supplier lifecycle through strategy, business engagement, tender, negotiation, and contract management, ensuring the best interests of HSBC are served in managing HSBC and other areas of the Group's Agreement. To have awareness of risk in Commodity area and how to mitigate commercially, contractually, and operationally including ESG and Banking relationships. To be responsible for establishing, championing and delivering commodity targets that focus on cost, quality, service and innovation with the supply base. Identifying opportunities to create additional value. To proactively influence commodity stakeholders by using a range of influencing styles. To exercise appropriate governance of procurement policies and ensure standards are adhere to across Commodity team. To provide advice and guidance on all Procurement related matters to internal customers including strategy and supplier management. To continually reassess the operational risk inherent in the business, taking into account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and impact of new technology and financial stability of suppliers. University graduate or above, major in business. Some years working experience in procurement field is preferred. Some degree of market knowledge in Real Estate commodity area is preferred. Ability on strategic sourcing and demonstrating leadership on Regulatory & Compliance matters. Good in stakeholders management and project management. Teamwork spirit and good communication skills.
