PSYC 100: Introduction to PsychologyPosition: Lecturer - Academic YearTerm: Fall 2025Day/Time: TBDModality: TBDCollege: College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral and Social SciencesDepartment: PsychologyThe Department of Psychology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part time lecturer for Fall 2025 to teach PSYC 100: Introduction to Psychology. Salary is commensurate with credential and experience. Course DescriptionIntroduction to basic concepts, problems, and research methods in the science of psychology. Includes perception, cognitive processes, learning, motivation, measurement, development, personality, abnormal behavior, and biological and social bases of behavior, including cross-cultural issues.

The requirements will include participation in low-risk psychological experiments or completion of additional short papers. Minimum QualificationsA master's degree in psychology or a relevant field,Successful experience teaching at the college level Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

Salary Commensurate With Degree Level And ExperienceAnticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $8,000 per full-time monthThe salary schedule information for the Lecturer – Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges: CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time monthCSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer B - AY:

$6,221 - $13,224 per full-time monthThe anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
