A leading global financial institution is seeking an accomplished professional to join its Trustee & Depositary division as Vice President - Custody Oversight. This senior role offers the chance to play a key part in strengthening the firm’s global asset protection framework and shaping its oversight strategy across multiple markets.About the OpportunityAs Vice President, you will provide leadership and subject matter expertise in the monitoring and governance of delegated custody and affiliate arrangements. You will be instrumental in ensuring that the safekeeping of client assets continues to meet the highest regulatory and operational standards under UCITS and AIFMD.Working closely with senior management and global custody partners, you’ll manage oversight programmes, assess risk exposures, and help drive continuous improvement across custody control processes. This is a hands-on, strategic role suited to an experienced professional who enjoys working at the intersection of operations, governance, and regulation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the ongoing oversight of custody delegation and outsourcing arrangements across multiple jurisdictions.Design, implement, and maintain a robust oversight schedule and governance framework aligned with policy and regulatory expectations.Review performance metrics, control reports, and due-diligence findings, presenting clear analysis and recommendations to senior management.Monitor market incidents and operational events, ensuring effective escalation, remediation, and communication.Partner with internal stakeholders to interpret regulatory change, identify emerging custody risks, and propose mitigation strategies.Contribute to management reporting through meaningful risk and performance MI.Represent the Custody Oversight function at internal governance committees and service review forums.Promote a strong culture of control, accountability, and continuous improvement.Your Background8+ years’ experience within custody, trustee, depositary, network management or delegate oversight functions, ideally within a global or complex asset-servicing environment.Strong understanding of UCITS/AIFMD, safekeeping obligations, and cross-border delegation models.Proven track record in managing third-party and inter-affiliate relationships.Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners.Highly analytical, commercially astute, and capable of operating with autonomy and sound judgement.What’s on OfferThis is an opportunity to join a globally respected financial institution with a culture built on inclusion, collaboration, and innovation.
