Job Description
Pacific Coastal Airlines is looking for a permanent part-time on-call (up to 20 hours per week) Customer Service, Ramp, and Cargo Agent based in Tofino. We are seeking a candidate who is looking to enjoy a family-oriented, dynamic, and rewarding work environment. We fly scheduled and charter service between busy international airports, remote destinations in beautiful province of British Columbia.Job ResponsibilitiesCheck-in passengers, issue boarding passes, verify immigration documentsCheck baggage and collect excess baggage/overweight chargesAnswer calls, book, change and cancel flight reservationsResolve service disruption issues such as canceled or missed flights, determining alternative flight optionsExecute deplaning and boarding processes, ensuring a safe, on-time departureProcess cargo shipmentsMarshall, de-ice, and anti-ace aircraftOn-load and off-load passenger luggage, cargo, containers/pallets, etc.Possess an excellent understanding of company products, services, processes, and guidelines and promote them at all timesCommitment to providing a safe, stress-free, and friendly passenger experienceDeliver service standards in accordance with Pacific Coastal Airlines philosophyOther duties as assignedQualifications And CompetenciesExperience in customer-facing roleA valid driver's licenseAbility to work under pressure with minimal supervisionClear and effective communication skills with a demonstrated ability to have difficult conversationsAbility to work in a time-sensitive, ever-changing environment where multitasking and problem-solving are key attributesComfortable using computers, credit, and debit machinesAble to work outdoors during inclement weather conditionsFlexible to work any day of the week, including weekends, evenings, holidays and/or irregular shiftsMust represent Pacific Coastal Airlines in a professional manner to our partners, vendors, and customersMust be able to obtain and maintain designated security clearanceCapable of lifting up to 70 poundsWhy Pacific Coastal Airlines?Company Culture: We honour our company motto of People Friendly, People First for both our employees and our passengers.
