Job Description

The RoleDrive Dyson's Customs and International Trade compliance and strategic programs in the Philippines. This involves keeping Dyson and its suppliers (Contract Manufacturers) compliant with local and international Customs and Trade regulations, maximizing trade facility, and minimizing cost, consistent with the Dyson Code. Champion Dyson Supplier risk management and self-compliance, trade awareness, regulatory analysis, process design and improvements, and effective use of preferential trade agreements. Partner and work very closely with Dyson’s Contract Manufacturers, key internal stakeholders including Supply Chain and Logistics, Philippine Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Operations, Research Design and Development, Finance, Security, Product Compliance, Legal, other support groups. as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers, global customs brokers, external advisors, Customs and PEZA authorities, and other related government agencies. Define and maintain strategic Customs indicators that drive actions through data.Key ResponsibilitiesManages and oversees Customs and International Trade Compliance of Dyson’s Suppliers in the Philippines (Contract Manufacturers, etc).Ensures compliance with local and international regulations and trade facilitation schemes (e.g. PEZA, Customs, etc.)Collaborates with key stakeholders to advance Dyson’s business while ensuring compliance, trade facility, and enabling cost reduction/savings consistent with the Dyson Code.Provides Customs and PEZA advisory and guidance to the business, including Dyson’s CMsChampions duty savings through maximizing the use of Free Trade Agreements (FTA), Origin applications, and duty planning in addition to trade facilitation and compliance consistent with the Dyson Code.Ensures that Country of Origin requirements are met and monitored through planning, risk management, analytics, and supports training and awareness program with the CMsManages CMs and brokers in fulfilling document responsibilities towards destination marketsDesigns and maintains relevant Customs Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); update as required where there are changes to regulations and/or business operations; and ensuring that these SOPs are in line with local and international regulations.Performs regulatory analysis, data analytics, and process design and improvements, risk management, trade awareness and trainings.Defines and maintains strategic Customs indicators that drive actions through data.Drive Customs Broker Performance, through the CM where necessaryBack-up support on other Dyson’s Compliance with Customs, PEZA, and International Trade Regulations in PhilippinesKey Skills / ExperienceBachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a related field and minimum 3 years of proven customs and international trade experience.Working experience and technical knowledge on Customs, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), Bonded Zones, Free Trade Agreements regulatory and operational requirementsExperience and technical knowledge on Customs valuation, Customs Classification & Origin ManagementExperienced in Government (Customs, PEZA) engagement and advocacy and regulatory analysisGood understanding of logistics/supply chainGood understanding of incotermsMust be a self-starter, resilient, flexible and willing to think outside the boxMust be able to work with challenging deadlines and prioritize work effectivelyAble to communicate effectively at all levels, in different mediumsExcellent attention to detailGreat supplier management skillsGreat analytical skillsGood project management skillsProven experience working with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Excellent command of written and spoken EnglishDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
