Cyber Analyst / EngineerDepartment: MSSPReports To: Vice President of OperationsLocation: Onsite in Central FloridaOverviewi-Tech Support is seeking a skilled and motivated Cyber Analyst / Engineer to join our growing MSSP team. This mid-level role plays a key part in strengthening both our internal security posture and that of our clients. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of cybersecurity operations, risk management, and incident response with the technical expertise to act decisively and the professionalism to engage directly with clients.This position is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is committed to protecting organizations through disciplined, proactive, and intelligence-driven security practices.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor, detect, and respond to security threats across client and internal environments using platforms such as Microsoft 365 Defender, Huntress, Fortinet, and Sentinel.Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security posture reviews aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.Perform incident triage, investigation, and containment with clear documentation and communication to leadership and clients.Support the design, deployment, and integration of cybersecurity tools and solutions across diverse network environments.Provide input and recommendations for information assurance, cryptographic controls, authentication policies, and network hardening.Develop and maintain security documentation, compliance reports, and audit responses including NIST, CMMC, and ISO frameworks.Participate in client meetings to review findings, present recommendations, and assist in developing long-term security roadmaps.Collaborate with vCIO/vCSO teams and other technical departments to ensure a unified, layered security approach.Participate in an on-call rotation to support incident response and after-hours escalation.Required QualificationsCompTIA Security+ certification (minimum required).One or more additional certifications preferred: CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, CISSP, or equivalent.3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT security operations.Proficiency in SIEM, EDR, MDR, and firewall technologies.Strong knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, authentication methods, and risk management practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving MSSP environment.Personal AttributesAnalytical thinker with strong attention to detail.Calm and decisive under pressure.Client-focused and professional in all interactions.Proactive learner with a continuous improvement mindset.Why i-Tech Supporti-Tech Support is a leading Managed IT and Cybersecurity Services Provider with over 26 years of success serving clients across 32 states and 8 countries.
