Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a Cyber Defense Specialist for a leading financial organizationRole Overview:A hands-on, highly impactful role responsible for guiding secure architecture, supporting complex projects, and strengthening the organization’s cyber resilience.Key Responsibilities:Lead security methodologies and secure architecture across business and technological systems.Support and guide infrastructure and application projects from an information security perspective.Provide technical security solutions and handle issues requiring security expertise.Manage cyber risks and conduct technological assessments to improve the organization’s security posture.Lead risk assessments, penetration test reviews, and mitigation processes.Collaborate daily with development teams, infrastructure teams, business units, and external vendors.Requirements:Minimum 2 years of experience supporting infrastructure and application projects in an Information Security team.Strong knowledge of modern cyber risks and practical implementation of advanced security solutions.Deep understanding of security architecture for on-prem and cloud environments.Familiarity with leading security products and standard cyber methodologies.Experience in the financial sector – an advantage.Relevant certifications such as CISSP or SICM – an advantage.
