At Alysian, we build long-term partnerships grounded in trust, performance, and a relentless drive for client success.Overview of the role: You will play a critical role in delivering Cyber Technical Due Diligence (Tech DD) assessments and Cyber Risk Diagnostics across deal cycles. This includes evaluating governance, architecture, and operational resilience; identifying vulnerabilities and regulatory exposure; and recommending pragmatic actions to protect and enhance enterprise value.This role requires the balance of technical authority and business fluency — bridging the gap between cyber risk, financial materiality, and investor confidence.Responsibilities:Lead or support Cyber DD assessments for PE-backed transactions across Europe and North America.Evaluate the security architecture, controls, and resilience of target companies — including infrastructure, cloud, network, application, and data domains.Identify critical vulnerabilities and compliance risks (ISO27001, NIST CSF, SOC2, PCI-DSS, GDPR), with clear articulation of potential business impact.Assess cyber governance, policies, and incident response maturity, recommending actionable next steps.Conduct rapid risk reduction diagnostics post-close to align remediation with deal value creation plans.Collaborate with IT Due Diligence and Technology Value Creation teams to align cyber findings with financial and operational levers.Present findings clearly and credibly to PE deal teams, Operating Partners, and C-level executives, simplifying complex risk concepts into clear, quantified insights.Develop and refine Cyber DD frameworks, playbooks, and assessment tools to enhance consistency and scalability of delivery.Profile we are looking for: Essential:Deep understanding of cyber security architecture, controls, and operational risk management across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud landscapes.Expertise in vulnerability management, identity & access management, data protection, and endpoint security.Experience assessing and advising on regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2, PCI-DSS, GDPR).Strong ability to translate technical risks into commercial impact and advise PE investors on risk-adjusted valuations.Skilled at leading multi-disciplinary, cross-border teams and building trusted relationships at board and C-suite level.Comfortable engaging with regulators and senior stakeholders (e.g., FCA, financial services boards) to build confidence in cyber programmes.Strong leadership in building, scaling, and turning around cyber consulting practices, aligning service portfolios with market demand.Strong presentation and communication skills — experienced in articulating complex risk scenarios to boards, investors, and regulators.Extensive experience in cyber security consulting and risk advisory, ideally within Big-4, MBB, or boutique PE Tech DD environments.Proven record of delivering Cyber Due Diligence, regulatory risk reviews, and post-breach transformation programmes.Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.Desirable:Experience in technology risk leadership roles (e.g., Risk Director, Head of Consulting, or Partner-level roles) managing global teams and major clients.Professional certifications preferred: Recognized security and infrastructure certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, TOGAF, or equivalent.Advanced degrees (MBA, MSc)Personal Attributes we look for: Strategic Thinker – sees the big picture, yet grounded in execution.Influential Communicator – credible advisor at the board level; engages and persuades with clarity.Client Obsessed – puts client outcomes and integrity first in all activities.Analytical & Curious – data-driven, hypothesis-led, with deep curiosity about emerging tech trends.Resilient & Agile – thrives in high-pressure environments, balancing multiple priorities with composure.Innovative & Entrepreneurial – identifies opportunities to disrupt and improve consistently.Team Leader & Collaborator – mentors talent and leads interdisciplinary teams effectively.Why Join Alysian Consulting?
