Procurement Specialist- Aircraft Manufacture

Position OverviewThe Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing and acquiring goods and services vital to the organization's operations. This role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulations to achieve cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. Follow up/ call backs on open purchase orders with vendors. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the procurement process.

Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and provide support in purchasing decisions. Analyze procurement data and prepare reports to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 1-2+ years of purchasing position or similar. Background in Aircraft Manufacturing or similar. Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the aviation industry. Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.

Familiarity with IPC (Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalog) and CMM's (Content of Manufacture Maintenance Manuals) frameworks is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
