Data Analyst

Data Analyst6-month contract (possible extension or conversion to permanent)Location: Vancouver, BC (Onsite 4x/week)Our client’s research and data team in Vancouver has taken a leadership role in big data. The team manages massive volumes of data generated by cloud services and mobile devices. They are responsible for transforming this data into actionable insights that enable stakeholders to make data-driven decisions and create value for the business, customers, and partners.Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.Minimum 5 years of industry experience in data analysis or business intelligence, preferably within a product-focused organization.Customer-facing experience, ideally in a pre-sales engineering role.Strong knowledge of SQL.Experience in BI engineering with data processing tools such as Spark and Airflow.Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, Redshift, etc.) or GCP services (e.g., BigQuery).Strong knowledge of Tableau, including data source and dashboard creation.Experience working with Salesforce.com tools.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Bonus SkillsExperience with cloud engineering and DevOps tools.Experience presenting business insights to senior leadership.Certifications related to AWS, GCP, or data visualization.Working experience with ML/AI.Korean language proficiency.
