You’ll connect the dots between what we offer, how customers respond, and what drives commercial success – helping proposition developers focus on what matters most. Your dashboards and analyses will bring structure to complexity, confidence to decisions, and ultimately make shopping at bol easier and more rewarding. The biggest challenge This isn’t about cranking out reports that look good – it’s about delivering actionable insights. You’ll translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, monitor how core propositions perform across millions of transactions, and identify opportunities and areas of concern we can address proactively. The environment is dynamic: patterns evolve, competitors make unexpected moves, and customer behavior is constantly shifting. Your challenge? To combine reliable analysis with practical recommendations that set the team up for success. You excel in combining analytical rigor with speed, and completeness with clarity. What You Do As a Data AnalystYou’ll join Core Consumer Value Propositions, a cross-functional team that sets the standard for bol’s core propositions. We’re the proposition conscience of bol, ensuring we keep growing while delighting customers.ResponsibilitiesYou’ll work closely with proposition developers, data specialists, and stakeholders from teams across the organization that rely on your insights. You’ll bring transparency – showing what’s working, what’s not, and which new opportunities we should pursue. Your day-to-day work combines analytics with storytelling. What explains spiking return rates in a specific category? How can you best update leadership on price performance trends? You’ll design and support dashboards that track our progress, and dive deeper into the data to answer ad hoc questions. You don’t just report what happened, you help the team understand why and draw conclusions. You’re genuinely eager to spot anomalies and patterns that others might overlook. You combine technical skills (SQL, visualization tools, statistical thinking) with the ability to communicate clearly: visually, concretely, and always with business context. You work well with others and bring data-driven clarity to discussions. You’re reliable and thorough when it counts, but pragmatic enough to know when “good enough” beats striving for perfection. We experiment, learn fast, and are always pleasantly surprised when the analysis leads to unexpected conclusions. Ready to help us turn data into decisions that delight our customers?
