Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, this role collects, processes and analyzes large data sets and works with stakeholders to turn raw data into actionable insights that drive informed decisions across the McDougall Group of Companies.Gather data from multiple sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, cloud platforms, Application Programming Interfaces, and external data providers Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data collected Review data for errors, inconsistencies, and missing valuesTransform data into structured formats suitable for analysis Apply statistical techniques to interpret data sets, paying attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analyticsSummarize findings and create clear reports, charts, dashboards and other visual representations of data to make complex data digestible for stakeholders Track key performance indicators and create regular performance reports to monitor business outcomesPresent findings to management, operations teams, or clients, translating complex data into simple narratives Ensure all data handling complies with relevant data protection and privacy laws, such as Personal Information Protection and Electronics Document Act (PIPEDA), Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), or Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) About YouCollege Diploma or University Degree in an IT-related field such as Computer SciencesExperience in solution architecture, design, building and implementation of solutionsThrive in a highly collaborative workplace Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to streamline data collection, processes, improve data quality, analysis techniques and implement best practices for management Experience working with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or SASStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization platforms, Tableau, Power BI, etc.Familiarity with databases, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processesExperience in Project Management techniques and phasesWorking knowledge of reporting tools within a SQL environment Knowledge of Informatica or other ETL tools is considered an assetStrong communication skills; both verbal and writtenvWhat We OfferCompetitive Compensation4 weeks paid vacation Employer Health & Dental Benefits Group RRSP Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Healthcare & Lifestyle Spending Account Are you ready to power your career and make a difference at McDougall Energy?
