Job Description

LatentView Analytics is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing digital analytics firms. We help companies drive digital transformation by helping them combine digital and traditional data to gain a competitive advantage. LatentView provides a 360-degree view of the digital consumer, enabling companies to predict new revenue streams, anticipate product trends and popularity, improve customer retention rates, and optimize investment decisions.BI & Data Analyst focuses on the "story"—interpreting that data to drive product and marketing decisions. You are expected to be an "Analytics Power User" who not only builds dashboards but also ensures the logic and metrics are consistent across every tool in the stack.1. Visual Storytelling & BI Architecture (Looker)With Looker as your primary BI tool, you aren't just a dashboard builder; you are a LookML Developer.Semantic Layer Management: Writing and maintaining LookML to create a "Single Source of Truth." You'll define the core business logic (e.g., how "Active User" or "Churn" is calculated) so that every department sees the same numbers.Advanced Visualization: Building complex, interactive dashboards that go beyond bar charts—using Liquid parameters for dynamic filtering and Looker "Actions" to send data back into Slack or email.User Enablement: Teaching non-technical stakeholders (Marketing, Product) how to use Looker's "Explore" feature to answer their own ad-hoc questions.2. Product & Marketing Insights (Heap, GA4, TikTok Pixel)Because your stack includes Heap and various tracking pixels, you act as the "Product Data Specialist."Funnel & Conversion Analysis: Using Heap for retroactive analysis (since it captures everything) to find where users drop off in the sign-up flow.Attribution Modeling: Combining TikTok Pixel and GA4 data in BigQuery to determine which marketing channels are actually driving high-lifetime-value (LTV) users.Event Validation: Working with the Data Engineer to ensure that events coming through RudderStack are showing up correctly in both Heap (for product teams) and Looker (for executive reporting).3. Data Analysis & Advanced SQL (BigQuery, Firebase)You will spend a significant amount of time in the BigQuery console performing deep-dive analyses.Behavioral Cohorting: Analyzing Firebase app data to see if users who use a specific feature in Week 1 have higher retention in Month 3.A/B Test Evaluation: Running statistical significance tests on product experiments to recommend whether a feature should be rolled out or killed.BigQuery Efficiency: Writing SQL that utilizes Window Functions and JSON parsing (common for GA4/Firebase data) while staying mindful of query costs.4. Data-as-a-Product (Hasura)This is a unique part of your stack. Hasura allows you to expose BigQuery data via an API.Embedded Analytics: Collaborating with software engineers to feed BigQuery insights (like "Your Usage This Month") back into the actual product UI via Hasura's GraphQL layer.Operational Analytics: Ensuring that the tables you build for Looker are also optimized for Hasura so the app remains fast.EEO Statement“At LatentView Analytics LLC, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees.
