Responsibilities include installing, testing, and maintaining structured cabling systems, ensuring optimal data center operations, troubleshooting cabling and connectivity issues, and adhering to outlined safety standards. The role requires effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients while maintaining an organized workspace and meeting project deadlines.QualificationsStrong proficiency in Cabling and Data Center Operations, with a clear understanding of structured cabling systems and best practices.Excellent Analytical Skills and the ability to perform thorough Troubleshooting to address and resolve issues efficiently.Effective Communication skills to collaborate with teams, report on progress, and interact professionally with clients.Knowledge of safety protocols and experience working in mission-critical environments are preferred.Technical certifications or relevant experience related to data center management or cabling are advantageous.Fluency in English is required; Japanese is a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.What You Will Do:Installation: Execute all aspects of high-density structured cabling installation, including pulling, dressing, and securing copper (Cat6A) and fiber optic cables (OS2, OM4) within cabinets, racks, pathways, and overhead infrastructure.Termination: Perform professional, high-quality termination of copper (RJ-45) and fiber optic connectors (MPO/MTP, LC, SC), and cleaning fiber end faces.Testing & Certification: Use industry-standard test equipment (e.g., Fluke Versiv/DSX, OTDRs, power meters) to certify and troubleshoot links to TIA/EIA standards, generating accurate test reports.Documentation: Maintain meticulous inventory and mapping records for all patch panels, ports, and cable runs within our DCIM system or digital documentation tools.Maintenance: Organize and maintain cable pathways, ladder racks, and basket trays to ensure optimal airflow and easy access for future maintenance, strictly controlling cable slack and bend radius.Collaboration: Work effectively with Network Engineering, Facilities, and external vendors during large-scale deployments and maintenance windows.Onsite Scope of work:Inspect and clean fiber cablesLabel cables on both ends with Flag LabelerCustomer to provide labeling schemaInstall pre-terminated fiber cables according to DC end customer provided cabling matrixUtilize existing pathways and overhead ladder racks/ traysSecure and organize cablesReady to build the physical foundation of the digital world?
