Data Center Engineer

Skill Set: DC L2Position: Data Center TechnicianDays per week: On-DemandLanguage: English & Urdu (Both C1)Contract: B2B/FreelanceJob Responsibilities:1. Cleaning tools testing, reporting, install cables or optics for new circuits. physical cabling, cable management, northbound cabling, (Fiber/Copper/Power).2. Support network and server teams by assisting with rack and stack and running cables. Planned/Predictive maintenance or circuit migration support3. Labelling, patching, and asset tagging activities, perform installation as needed either through physical or network medium.4. Follow specific task instructions and provision necessary reporting as necessary and support either through phone, remote tools, or in person at onsite.5. Conduct failure analysis, perform functional testing of entire system/Identify failed Component, planned maintenance or circuit migration support.6. Reseating or swapping new line cards7. Making, crimping and testing RJ45 Copper CablesBreakFix/Technical Task List:1. Cleaning fibers, replace the faulty optical cable. Installing loopbacks, BER testing2. Inserting/removing/replacing defective components. Linecards, Fibers, etc... Assist with fault diagnosis and investigation with RMA Processing.3. Configuring remote access, basic storage array configuration, replacing faulty cables.4. Rebooting linecards, chassis or reseating of cards/optics5. Providing loop-back cables to test circuits remotely, re-seating or replacing components or cables6. Power cycling, and conducting whole unit replacement.Preferred Skillsets: Technical Experience1. hands-on experience in installation and troubleshooting Infrastructure (DC & Network) equipment's, rack, and stack of the equipment/cable.2. Infrastructure (Data center and network) hardware architecture as to understand the procedure shared by L3 teams during troubleshooting, HS&E support.3. Knowledge of Nokia, Ciena Hardware.4. Understanding of ILA Hut jobsites5. Good understanding of IT principles such as networks, hardware.6. Fiber/Data/Copper cable installation and maintaining; include working with MPO fibers.7. Hands-on experiences in IMAC and break-fix activities related to infrastructure environment.8. Ability to identify defective spares and replace them with provided good spares as instructed and by physical observations.Hands on Experience Required1.
