Data Engineer

Assignment DescriptionOur Client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the BI & Analytics project . You will be part of a global team with colleagues in Sweden and India, working closely with business stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.This role requires a technically strong engineer who is also communicative, proactive, and comfortable working in an agile environment. You will be involved throughout the entire data lifecycle—from requirements and modeling to development, deployment, and operations.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement data pipelines for processing and transforming dataWork hands-on in the Databricks environmentSet up and manage Azure DevOps from end to end (pipelines, releases, deployments, hotfixes)Perform data modeling and support BI initiativesDevelop solutions using SQL, Python, PySpark, scriptingUse Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, and cluster managementCollaborate with global teams in an agile settingShare knowledge and support colleaguesManage multiple projects in parallelWork on-site at the Gothenburg officeRequired Skills – Must Have7+ years of experience in data engineeringProven experience independently building data pipelinesStrong experience setting up and configuring Azure DevOps from scratchHands-on experience working in DatabricksExcellent coding skills: SQL, Python, PySpark, scriptsExperience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, clusters5+ years of experience in BI projects, including data modeling and business understandingAgile mindset and strong communication skillsExperience with Git and DevOps practicesTeam player with strong collaboration skillsAbility to work on-site in GothenburgFluent in EnglishNice to HaveAbility to conduct hands-on upskilling sessionsAutomation experiencShell scriptingPower BI experienceRequired skills Agile Delivery PySpark AzureDevops BI Data Modeling Automation-Driven Development DatabricksLanguages English(Proficient)Application Deadline-19th Nov
