We foster a culture of transparency and flexibility, empowering our team members with the context and freedom to drive real impact.The roleAs a Data Engineer at TimeEdit, you will play a central role in building our data foundation, establishing how data flows across our platform and enabling both internal insights and customer-facing analytics.In 2026, this is more than setting up a warehouse, it’s about designing the backbone for how TimeEdit turns data into actionable intelligence. You’ll define how product teams structure and share data, architect and implement pipelines and lay the groundwork for future data products that help universities make smarter, evidence-based decisions.To thrive in this role, you enjoy the challenge of working hands-on in a fast-paced, ambitious environment where building something from the ground up excites you.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild our data foundation: Design and implement TimeEdit’s first company-wide data warehouse.Develop pipelines: Create reliable, secure data flows from multiple databases into a unified platform.Set standards: Define data contracts, schemas, and best practices for consistent, high-quality data.Enable insights: Make data accessible for product decisions and customer-facing analytics.Ensure quality: Implement monitoring, validation and optimisation to keep data accurate and performant.Your profile3+ years of experience in data or analytics engineering. Strong SQL skills and experience working with both SQL and NoSQL data stores. Hands-on experience building scalable data warehouses and pipelines. Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt. Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud environments. Solid understanding of data modelling and schema design for scalability and performance. Strong communication and collaboration skills, working closely with engineering and product teams.Bonus: Experience designing data foundations that enable AI capabilities.
