Data Engineer

We are looking for someone passionate about data and software development, capable of navigating a hybrid technical environment between Software Engineering and Data Science.About This VacancyThe ideal candidate is a Software Engineer with a strong focus on data, experience building ETL pipelines, Python applications, and managing unstructured data on modern data lakes. **Your challenges?** - Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines. - Collaborate with Data Scientists to deploy models and algorithms. - Develop microservices and APIs for exposing and integrating data and functionality. - Work with unstructured data (text, logs, JSON, documents) and contribute to its transformation and indexing. - Support the evolution of the data architecture and the adoption of development best practices. - Participate in continuous process improvement (CI/CD, automated testing, code review).What We Expect From YouMS degree in Computer Engineering or related field2-4 years of experience in SW Engineering or ETL/Data EngineeringStrong knowledge of Python and key data manipulation packagesExperience developing APIs and microservices with FastAPI or alternatively FlaskFamiliarity with unstructured data and data lake environments (Parquet, Delta, S3, Azure Data Lake, ...)Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)Knowledge of Docker and containerized environments (Kubernetes)Experience with data quality and data validationBasic knowledge of machine learning or statistical data analysis principlesFamiliarity with Git, CI/CD processes, and good development practices (testing, logging, documentation)Good command of Italian and English languageAvailability to travel and relocate for medium to long periodsWhat You Can Expect From UsTMC is an international high-tech consultancy company that brings expertise to their clients in order to support them with the realization of their technological challenges.
