Role Summary:The Teradata Administrator will manage, monitor, and optimize Teradata database environments to ensure performance, reliability, and security across enterprise data platforms supporting core banking, regulatory, and BI workloads.Key Responsibilities:Administer and maintain Teradata 16.x/17.x environments, including space, sessions, and workload management.Perform system and query performance tuning using DBQL, Viewpoint, and TASM.Manage and monitor ETL job execution, ensuring successful daily EOD completion.Execute and validate backup, archive, and restore (BAR/NetVault) operations.Implement and enforce database security, access controls, and compliance policies.Troubleshoot database performance, locking, or resource issues and resolve incidents per SOPs.Execute approved CAB changes, apply patches, and maintain operational documentation.Prepare daily/weekly operational and SLA reports with RCA summaries.Skills & Experience:3–7 years of hands-on Teradata DBA experience (preferably in banking or financial domain).Strong command of Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport, TPT).Expertise in Teradata Viewpoint, DBQL, PDCR, and TASM configuration.Proficient in Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, and job automation.Familiarity with ETL tools (Informatica, PowerExchange) and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau).Sound understanding of data governance and security frameworks (SBP, SAMA, NDMO).Certifications (Preferred)Teradata Certified Professional (TCA/TCP/Advanced DBA).Experience with Teradata upgrades, performance optimization, or migration to modern architectures.
