You will be working with a wide variety of data that includes, but not limited to text, audio, and images. You will have an opportunity to collaborate closely with some of the best data scientists and software developers in Vancouver and apply your craft in an environment that encourages creative thinking and collaboration.Your responsibilitiesCreate high-quality datasets for models byGathering: Assist Data Scientist in the gathering of large, representative datasets based on provided criteria.Labelling: Label text data. This may include labelling for items such as tone, sentiment, or business theme.Transcribing: Annotate and label audio data. This may include transcribing spoken words, identifying speech segments, and labelling various acoustic features.Annotation: Add metadata to images, identifying regions of interest. Classifying: Categorize data into different categories.Identifying: Identify patterns, trends, and outliers in data.Creating: Create synthetic data based on patterns, trends, and predictions.Reviewing: Review your own work, and that of others, to ensure the highest quality and accuracy in our datasetsContinuously improve quality of data releases byDefining and maintaining taxonomy for the data formatAuthoring and maintaining prompts for the modelReviewing generated dataset for quality and integrityDefining annotation guidelines for the data formatTesting prompts to verify and improve qualityBenchmarking datasetsContribute to the data generation program byResearching on background information to enhance data accuracyWorking as part of an agile team on the data releasesCollaborating with data scientists and developers on the data generation initiativeProviding and accepting feedback on identified issues with data and toolsAbout youMinimum one year of experience with data labelling and annotation on various data formats like text, audio, imageFull professional proficiency and fluency in EnglishExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAble to handle ambiguity and changing prioritiesAble to follow guidelines and then work independently without constant supervisionProficient with computers, Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelExperience with any of the following is considered an asset:Data labelling/annotation tools like Label Studio, AudinoProfessional proficiency in other languages beyond EnglishManual quality assurance for software application and/or gamesCompensation:Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbia’s pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background. The range below reflects the expected annual base salary, which is only one element of our comprehensive total rewards package designed to reflect our company pay philosophy, culture and values.
