Data Protection Specialist

JOB TITLE:Data Protection SpecialistFITNESS AND PROBITY CLASSIFICATION: Controlled Function (CF 2)ROLE TYPE:Fixed Term ContractPOSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Compliance ManagerDEPARTMENT: ComplianceLOCATION:Blackrock, Dublin, IrelandMAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:To support the Senior Compliance Manager and Head of Compliance (and DPO) to provide Data Protection assurance and ensure the Company’s compliance status with relevant Data Protection and Privacy statutory and regulatory requirements. KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES Duties include but are not limited to:o  Monitor Data Protection regulatory change and provide regular updates and reports to the DPO and Senior Compliance Manager;o  Annual review and update of the Darta Data Protection and Privacy Framework (in line with Group requirements);o  Conduct Data Breach investigations and provide root cause analysis on data governance and recommend remedies to mitigate risk of recurrence; o  Conduct Data Protection reviews and analysis of data managements processes and procedures and recommend improvements;o  Conduct data Protection Impact Assessments as required and carry put regular reviews of high risk data processing activities;o  Maintain an up to date list of Record of Processing Activities for the Company;o  Ensure effective and compliant on-boarding and management of 3rd parties to ensure robust Data protection controls are in place;o  As directed, participate in key functional meetings and working groups and formulate responses to Group and external industry consultations;o  Create Data Protection awareness and deliver data protection training throughout the Company on an ongoing basis;o  Actively engage in and contribute to Privacy Champion meetings and Group Privacy calls and represent the Company in Group Privacy projects.o  Experience of analysing legal and regulatory requirements.  EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS o Fluent Italiano Relevant 3rd Level Degree (required);o LCOI designation (preferably required);o Data Protection Qualification (preferably required). PRODUCT & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGEo Familiarity with life insurance products, cross border business COMMERCIAL AWARENESSo Knowledge and experience of life insurance cross border market (required);o Clear understanding of key business processes and strategic goals;
