The mission of the team is to align stakeholders, processes, and technologies to ensure reliable data, manage risks effectively, and meet regulatory requirements.We are looking for a Data Governance & Data Quality Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of systems and monitoring tools that ensure trustworthy, well-managed, and business-ready data.Role OverviewIn this technical and analytical role, you will be responsible for implementing data governance tools across up to four data domains. You will deliver reporting, KPIs, and controls that support our strategic vision for Data Governance and Data Quality (DGQ). Your work will enable teams across the organization to manage data as a strategic asset.Your core mission as a Data Governance & Data Quality Specialist:Develop and support technical implementations of Data Governance and Data Quality monitoring tools.Deliver data-driven insights through performance reporting and KPIs.Implement automated controls and reports to detect and highlight data issues.Act as a bridge between IT, business stakeholders, and data governance teams.Contribute to continuous improvement through automation, reporting, and problem-solving.Key Responsibilities1. Structuring the Technical DGQ EnvironmentDesign and implement DGQ tools (business glossary, data lineage, monitoring).Define roadmaps and maturity models within assigned domains.Align technical requirements with strategic objectives across IT, DGQ managers, and business stakeholders.Monitor production issues, follow up on action plans, and maintain DGQ systems.Collect, analyze, and define data needs at group level, participating actively in DGQ-related projects.2. KPIs, Controls & Corrective ActionsMaintain and improve KPIs and measurement frameworks for Data Governance & Data Quality.Create and distribute dashboards and reports linking data-driven insights to business performance.Develop and implement automated quality controls and validation processes.Drive automation of dashboards and monitoring processes to ensure efficiency.Support Data Stewards in data cleaning and corrective action planning.Collaborate with DGQ managers to integrate “DGQ by design” into processes and tools.3. Facilitation, Training & CultureAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on data governance and quality principles/tools.Deliver training and workshops to promote best practices and tool adoption.Support Data Owners and Stewards in the effective use of DGQ tools.Promote a culture of data quality across the organization.Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g. GDPR, DAMA).Stay informed about trends and regulations in Data Governance and ensure practices remain aligned with industry expectations.ProfileExperience & Technical Skills5+ years in the banking or financial sector with strong expertise in data quality and process improvement.10+ years of relevant experience in data analysis and reporting.Strong knowledge of Data Governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA) and regulations (e.g., BCBS239, GDPR, AI Act).Hands-on experience with governance and data quality tools (catalogs, lineage, platforms).Proficiency in data management and reporting tools (e.g., SAS, Python; WebFOCUS is a plus).Experience in data lineage mapping and rolling out governance tools.Ability to design automated quality controls and integrate them into technical processes.KnowledgeExcellent command of French or Dutch, with good knowledge of the other language and/or English.Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Core CompetenciesExcellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Stakeholder management expertise.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Leadership in cross-functional initiatives.Strong interpersonal skills, proactivity, and curiosity.What We OfferAn open company culture with a pleasant working atmosphere.A dynamic role with opportunities to grow and learn quickly.A collaborative team that values initiative and teamwork.Investment in employees through high-quality training and real career development opportunities.A competitive salary with attractive benefits.Stability within a well-established international organization that values long-term relationships.In short: you will join an open, dynamic culture where skills matter as much as degrees.
