Data Scientist - Senior Manager

Job Title: Machine Learning EngineersLocation: Tokyo, Chiyoda-ku (Hybrid WFH policy)Salary: 12M - 15M + Bonus + RSUThe Consulting & Analytics team focuses on developing and improving clients’ business by collaborating with them closely including their data utilization. The team works closely with stakeholders and their team members across multiple functions, developing analytic models that can solve specific business concerns. The role also includes innovating new analytics services as we scale out our activities.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategic plans for the data science team. Facilitate communication and collaboration between the data science team and other departments to deliver data-driven initiatives.Hands-on managing and executing multiple medium-to-large complex analytic projects collaborating with stakeholders in analytics & consulting teams.Work closely across multiple team functions including; Product, Sales, Regional and Global Marketing teams.Meeting with key clients to explain model results, answer questions, and propose further analysis. Establishing best practices for change management, model automation and production rollout.Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to analyze clients’ data, extract insights, and create dashboards.Lead discussions with clients’ data science, corporate planning, and marketing teams to identify opportunities.Providing thought leadership in both using data to solve business problems and providing innovative technology and statistical solutions.Required Experience and SkillsResident in Japan + valid work visa.Native, or Native-level Japanese and business English.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration are essential.Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationshipsTech skills: SQL, Python or Java, PowerBI or Tableau, Hive, Shell Scripting.10yrs exp in applying statistical solutions to business problems.Degree in computer science, or a quantitative field such as physics, statistics or mathematics.Knowledge of machine learning techniques: clustering, dimensionality reduction, variable selection, cross validation, neural networks, gradient boosting, linear & logistic.Required Experience and SkillsConsulting experience. Experience in retail banking, retail merchant, credit card, or fintech/payment industries
