Your contributions will be central to optimizing revenue and enhancing customer value through cutting-edge machine learning applications.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our product team, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our global pricing initiatives. You will collaborate closely with a diverse group of experts, including Data Scientists, Data Analysts, ML Engineers, and Software Engineers, to design and implement advanced solutions. This role offers the chance to apply your deep understanding of machine learning to real-world business challenges, making a significant and measurable impact on our operations and market presence.This is a 6 months fixed term salaried position contracted via Aquent on behalf of our client as a third party. There is the possibility for extension.Due to the contracting nature of this role, only candidates with unrestricted rights to work in The Netherlands will be considered. What You’ll Do Collaborate within a diverse product team, working alongside Data Scientists, Data Analysts, ML Engineers, and Software Engineers. Develop and recommend optimal pricing strategies for global operations. Utilize your expertise in machine learning to build sophisticated price elasticity and quantity forecasting models. Apply these advanced models to a comprehensive price optimization algorithm. Proactively engage in discussions around scoping and prioritization with the broader product team to ensure strategic alignment and efficient execution.Must-Have Qualifications A strong educational background in computer science, data science, statistics, econometrics, or another STEM-related field. A solid grasp of the statistical and mathematical principles underpinning machine learning theories. Min. 4 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions in a production environment. A comprehensive understanding of machine learning fundamentals. A proven track record of successfully deploying models into production and a thorough understanding of the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle. Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in data manipulation using SQL. Work experience with cloud environments.Nice-to-Have Qualifications Hands-on experience with forecasting models.
