Phreesia is looking for an experienced and hands-on Data Scientist to join our growing Data Science Team; someone with strong analytical and technical skills who is familiar with the entire lifecycle of a data science project, from data exploration, modeling and analysis, to model selection, validation, evaluation, and deployment.You will be joining a team of smart, humorous, quick-witted, and dedicated coworkers, all passionate about data and improving patient access to healthcare. You will be responsible for strategic planning, building data products for internal consumption, near real-time business intelligence tools, GenAI frameworks, and predictive models. We are looking for someone experienced in partnering with business stakeholders, translating their needs into technical solutions and answers, and then building and delivering those solutions. This role will report to the Manager of Data Science.Phreesia is a fully remote company; however, candidates located in ET and CT regions are given priority in the hiring process. What You'll DoTransform complex, unstructured data into clear, actionable insights that shape business strategyDesign and deploy scalable AI/ML models and algorithms that solve high-impact, real-world problemsBuild experiments and prototypes with big data tools to test bold ideas and accelerate innovationPush the boundaries by applying the latest AI/GenAI research into practical, production-ready solutionsPartner with Product, Sales, and Leadership teams to translate analysis into decisions that drive growth and patient outcomesOwn the full lifecycle of data products, from concept to deployment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and adoptionBe an expert communicator: you could summarize your daily progress in a tweetWhat You'll BringMinimum of MS/MA in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related field2+ years of experience in an operational Data Science roleStrong foundation in statistical methods (experimental design, hypothesis testing, A/B testing) and applied machine learning/GenAIProfessional proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working on large-scale datasets (GB–100s of TB) and contributing professional-level code using version controlProven experience using Large Language Models (LLMs) and working with Machine Learning/GenAI frameworks in productionExperience deploying solutions with modern tools and frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Python Flask, GitLab, Terraform)Experience with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) and distributed computingDemonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams (Data Scientists, Engineers, and business stakeholders) to build, validate, and deploy impactful AI/ML solutionsExcellent communication and storytelling skills: able to distill complex findings into clear, compelling insightsHealthcare experience a plusWho We Are:At Phreesia, we’re looking for smart and passionate people to help drive our mission of creating a better, more engaging healthcare experience.
