Database Engineer

We’re Hiring: Database Engineer – SQL, PostgreSQL & MSSQL | Lahore (On-site)Location: Lahore, PakistanFriday Job Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Database Engineer with strong SQL expertise and a passion for database architecture, optimization, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will work closely with our development and data teams to design, optimize, and maintain reliable database systems across PostgreSQL and MSSQL environments.If you have strong technical foundations and enjoy solving data challenges — this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesWrite, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.Design and manage database schemas, including indexing, constraints, and relationships.Handle ETL processes, data migration, and data integration from multiple sources.Analyze and improve query performance and ensure data accuracy.Rewrite and enhance existing stored procedures and business logic for efficiency.Manage CSV/Excel imports, perform data validation, and handle large datasets.Collaborate with developers and data analysts to ensure seamless data flow.Create and maintain technical documentation and data process records.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong command over SQL and database design principles.Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).Proven background in ETL development and data migration workflows.Familiarity with Node.js and Prisma ORM (a strong plus).Deep understanding of query optimization, indexing, relationships, and constraints.Experience in data validation, data integrity, and CSV/Excel imports.Excellent documentation and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Previous experience in database engineering, data warehousing, or backend development.Exposure to cloud-based databases or modern data pipelines is a plus.What We OfferCompetitive salary PKR (80k to 150k) based on experience and skillset.Growth opportunities within a data-driven and collaborative environment.Chance to work with modern database technologies and tools.If you’re confident in your SQL and database expertise and ready to take ownership of data systems that power business decisions — we’d love to hear from you.Apply now and be part of a growing team that values precision, performance, and innovation.
