The Honorary President of NewUU is Professor Wolfgang Hermann, TUM’s president emeritus – one of the world’s leaders in higher education management and academic research.About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as Dean of our Medical School. The Dean will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of medical education, research, and clinical practice within our institution. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong academic background, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and oversight for all academic, administrative, and financial aspects of the Medical School. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment to enhance educational programs, research initiatives, and clinical services. Promote faculty development and support recruitment, retention, and mentoring of high-quality staff.Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and maintain the highest standards of medical education and research.Build partnerships with healthcare providers, industry, and government to advance the school’s mission.Represent the Medical School within the university and to external stakeholders.QualificationsMedical degree (MD or equivalent) with advanced qualifications (e.g., PhD, MPH) preferred.Significant experience in academic medicine, including leadership roles.Strong track record of research and publication.Demonstrated ability to lead complex organizations and manage multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills.
