Mandate: Reporting to the Freight Manager, the Ocean Import Associate is responsible for tracking and tracing ocean shipments. The candidate will also interact daily with origin offices and partners, uphold the responsibility for managing pre-alerts, and carrier documentation, including manifests and invoices. Lastly, the candidate will manage vendor payables and perform other relevant administrative duties within the Ocean Import department. Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in ocean freight operations including knowledge of carrier documentationCollege degree in the Logistics field is considered an assetProficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applicationsCIFFA designation is considered an assetExperience in CargoWise One system is considered an assetWhat You Offer: Outstanding customer service skillsExceptional communication skills, verbal and writtenExtremely detail oriented and organized in assuring clients are invoiced properlyAbility to work efficiently in a team environment, as well as independently
