CASUAL LABOURER (FACILITIES)Position Type: Temporary Full TimeNumber of Positions: Two (2)Department: Community Services Department - Facilities DivisionFile Number: SV25-115Location: Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre (QSWC) - 265 Cannifton Road BellevilleHours: 40 hours per week; varied shiftsTerm of Employment: Up to 200 days in a 12-month periodEmployee Group: Union - CUPESalary: $24. 42 per hour, plus $1. 85 shift premium where applicableClosing Date: September 16, 2025 at 4: 30 PMPURPOSE AND SCOPE: Currently, the City of Belleville has an exciting opportunity for two (2) highly motivated and dynamic individual to join the Community Services Department.

The Casual Labourer position is responsible for maintenance and repairs to various buildings and structures with a focus on external building repairs, drywall repairs and painting. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Operating city vehicles and equipment as requiredOperating various construction equipment and machineryMaintain building cleanliness and sanitation including lobbies, washrooms, hallways, meeting rooms and the outside perimeter of the building(s)Operating non-power tools (i. e. , hand saw, bolt cutters etc. )Performs preventive building maintenance duties such as drywall, plumbing and electrical repairs.

Repair holes in walls, and paint interior and exterior wallsWork independently and as a part of a teamUndertake other duties as assigned, in support of the City and Departmental objectives. EDUCATION/TRAINING/SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalentValid full class G Driver’s License and a clean driving recordAbility to work in a variety of conditions and perform physical labourExperience in building maintenance and repairsCandidates are required to have their own safety boots. A satisfactory Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector CheckPreferred Qualifications:
