The Casual Labourer position is responsible for maintenance and repairs to various buildings and structures with a focus on external building repairs, drywall repairs and painting. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Operating city vehicles and equipment as requiredOperating various construction equipment and machineryMaintain building cleanliness and sanitation including lobbies, washrooms, hallways, meeting rooms and the outside perimeter of the building(s)Operating non-power tools (i. e. , hand saw, bolt cutters etc. )Performs preventive building maintenance duties such as drywall, plumbing and electrical repairs.

Repair holes in walls, and paint interior and exterior wallsWork independently and as a part of a teamUndertake other duties as assigned, in support of the City and Departmental objectives. EDUCATION/TRAINING/SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalentValid full class G Driver’s License and a clean driving recordAbility to work in a variety of conditions and perform physical labourExperience in building maintenance and repairsCandidates are required to have their own safety boots.
