The DSP lead will act as the Subject Expert for all improvements related to demand and supply planning processes.The Demand and Supply Planning Lead, LA (Latin America) plays an active role in translating the key elements of the business & supply chain strategies into tactical functional initiatives to meet the service and objectives across LA region. As the owner of demand planning process for the businesses, this role will be responsible for leading and coordinating the monthly demand consensus producing an accurate consensus unit forecast that will drive the recommended supply and inventory planning and ensure that all available sales and marketing intelligence is incorporated in the unit projection.As part of the S&OP process, the DSP Lead provides analysis to the Demand Supply Integrated Reconciliation meeting with country key Business (Marketing /Sales) and Finance stakeholders to validate and reconcile the unit forecast with the financial projections.The Demand and Supply Planning Lead has an overview of the demand drivers and the impacts on Supply, ensuring supply plans aligned with production capacity and financial targets.This role involves collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams, namely Supply Chain, Project teams, Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Factories, both at LA region and Global level, to support a more efficient demand and supply planning process.This role will require a high level of flexibility and process development. The scope of the role encompasses, but is not limited to, demand planning, product life cycle management, inventory optimization and information support to the S&OP, creation and maintenance of database for metrics and KPIs (such as back order, forecast accuracy, inventory trend, forecast reconciliation, etc)The Demand and Supply Planning Lead LA reports directly to Sr. Supply Chain Manager, EMEA. This role will be based in Mexico City, Mexico, and covers LA region (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, South Cone and associated indirect markets).ResponsibilitiesResponsible to develop demand forecast through data analytics tools/statistical models which indirectly drive supply & production planning, and directly affecting the availability of inventory to local customers. Works with Marketing/ Product Managers, Finance and Global Supply Planners to understand the impact of the forecast, the financial gaps, potential risk and opportunities.Driving recommended Product classification in terms of volume & value share, demand volatility and strategic importance which is used to determine differentiated demand, supply and inventory strategy.Ensure and improve the system utilization (IBP).Drive recommended system solutions, improve planning accuracy & predictabilityWork closely global planning to understand and establish the right stocking level, particularly on new product introductions or product discontinuation projects.Ensure supply plan is aligned and fulfills the regional demand already considering factors like production capacity and financial targets.Regularly review system planning master data and proactively cleanse it to drive optimized planning resultProject monthly, quarterly and year-end inventory level, analyze performance & establish plans to drive metric improvement to targetIdentify Excess & Obsolete, follow through on disposition and reduction opportunities. Drives root cause analysis and CI to prevent new occurrence.Ability to set annual targets, monitors performance and establish plans and strategies to drive metrics improvement to target. Accountable for achieving targeted supply chain metrics: Forecast Accuracy, Line Fill Rate, Back-Order, Inventory Value and TurnsIdentify projects to drive supply chain service level, operational efficiency & cost reduction.Support global and regional Supply Chain key initiatives to accomplish best in class supply chain metrics performance and improve production/distribution efficiencies and customer experience.ExperienceEXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: Experience with government purchasing activity (tender process) with a focus on forecasting, product lead times (production + in transit) and order timing analysisMinimum of 4 years demand, supply & inventory planning experience required.End-to-End Supply Chain experience, understanding of the 5 steps of the S&OP ProcessERP experiences in SAP/4Hana, IBP, Power BI, SCM DP/SNP or other toolsTrack records of improving customer service level while simultaneously improving supply chain metrics performance and operation costERP implementation experience and or experience with SAP4H/IBP is a plusEducationA Bachelor’s degree is required in supply chain, engineering or business field.CertificationsCertification from a recognized supply chain institution such as APICS or CSCMP is a plusLean/Six Sigma certification is a plusembecta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.  We do not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, creed, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, marital or domestic or civil union status, familial status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetics, disability, military eligibility or veteran status, or any other protected status.
