In this department you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization diagnostic product critical tools used globally by hospitals for precise cancer diagnosis. You will lead a talented team, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and drive operational excellence in accordance with GMP requirements.About the department: The IHC & ISH QC department at Agilent plays a vital role in supporting the company’s mission to advance cancer diagnostics and improve patient outcomes. The department consists of 17 dedicated employees, including laboratory technicians and manufacturing engineers. They work collaboratively to ensure the reliability of our products and a continuous flow of diagnostics kits to the market. The kits produced are essential tools used by hospitals for precise cancer diagnosis. Our department’s work directly impacts the accuracy and effectiveness of patient care.The department is responsible for QC testing of a few raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods and stability studies. The methods applied are primarily immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH).You will become a part of a management team of 3 department managers and 2 supporting staff that oversee the quality control and stability of our products. You will work closely with fellow department managers and supporting staff to ensure seamless coordination across quality control functions and drive continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities Foster a collaborative and inclusive department culture rooted in Agilent’s core values: Speed, Focus, Accountability, Innovation & Contribution, Trust, Respect & Teamwork, and Uncompromising Integrity. Provide sparring, coaching and challenge the individuals aswell as setting direction for the department. Ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables according to production schedules and project plans. Lead and facilitate LEAN initiatives to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency. Actively participate in the QC and Stability Management Group, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making. QC is a very central stakeholder and to succeed in the position it is required to build and maintain strong working relationships within production and with key stakeholders across the organization. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of proven experience in people management, with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams. Experience within QC or other operational functions is considered a strong benefit. Knowledge of the methods IHC, ISH and /or stability studies is a plus Strong communication skills, with the ability to set clear goals, provide direction, and drive results through effective collaboration. Proficiency in English and Danish. Solid business acumen and insight into organizational dynamics, enabling sound decision-making and strategic planning. In-depth knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) requirements, with hands-on experience in regulated environmentsJoin us and contribute to a purpose-driven organization where your leadership will help shape the future of cancer diagnostics.
