Job SummaryReporting directly to a County Clerk Supervisor, responsible for performing clerical duties that support the daily operations of the Williamson County Clerk's Office. Salary range effective on October 1, 2025.EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMEDProvides direct customer service either in person or on the telephoneCollects payments for court costs and manages front counter tillCreates and maintains various reports related to assigned divisionCreates and maintains forms, worksheets, and informational materialsEnsures comprehensive filing systems are maintained and up to dateAssists in planning and executing special projects and eventsAssists with policy and procedure updatesUtilizes legal reference materials to perform research related to current laws and proceduresCopies, files, and audits invoicesReviews and processes court appeals documentsEnters and verifies data within applicable databases and/or systemsSubmits documents to assigned courts for approvalCross-trains with office staff in other areas to ensure continuity of departmental operationsAttends all meetings and trainings, as requiredPerforms special duties as assignedCriminal AssignmentSigns and processes subpoenasIssues warrants for criminal offensesPerforms transactions related to citations, warrants, pleas, booking sheets and time-served requestsReceives and processes payment of fees/fines, issues receipts and records dispositionsManages a cash drawer at high-volume window, balances drawer and prepares depositsRecalls warrants and disseminates notificationsORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPSReports directly to - County Clerk SupervisorDirect Reports - NoPHYSICAL DEMANDSPosition involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, standing and occasional lifting/carryingENVIRONMENTAL FACTORSWork is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environmentIRREGULAR HOURSWork outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be requiredMay be deemed essential personnel in the event of an emergencyThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
