College of Health Sciences & Technology, Ado-EkitiPosition SummaryThe Deputy Provost supports the Provost in providing academic, administrative, and operational leadership for the College. The role ensures academic quality, regulatory compliance, staff performance, program development, and effective coordination of all academic activities.Key Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership & AdministrationAssist the Provost in planning, coordinating, and supervising all academic programs and activities of the College.Provide oversight for curriculum development, review, and implementation across all departments.Ensure effective delivery of teaching, training, and academic support services.Support the management of academic timetables, examinations, and assessment processes.2. Regulatory & Compliance OversightEnsure compliance with NBTE, Community Health Practitioners Registration Board, Nursing Council, and other relevant regulatory bodies.Support accreditation processes, documentation, and periodic reviews.3. Staff Management & DevelopmentProvide leadership and guidance to Heads of Departments, lecturers, and academic support staff.Participate in staff recruitment, induction, mentoring, and performance evaluation.Promote a culture of professionalism, discipline, and continuous improvement.4. Quality Assurance & Institutional DevelopmentMonitor academic standards and enforce quality assurance policies.Support the development of new programs and improvement of existing ones.Contribute to strategic planning and institutional growth initiatives.5. Student Affairs & Academic SupportOversee student academic welfare in collaboration with relevant units.Address academic concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters where required.6. Administrative CoordinationRepresent the Provost in official assignments when required.Prepare academic reports, proposals, and documentation for management and Board consideration.Participate in management meetings and committees of the College.Qualifications & ExperienceMaster’s Degree required; PhD/EdD is an advantage.Minimum of 8–10 years experience in academic leadership, such as Dean, Deputy Provost, Director, HOD, or equivalent.Strong background in Health Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, Community Health, or related fields.Demonstrated knowledge of NBTE and other sector regulatory requirements.Proven ability to manage academic staff, develop programs, and lead institutional improvement.Skills & CompetenciesStrong academic leadership and decision-making skills.Excellent communication, coordination, and administrative abilities.High level of integrity, professionalism, and discipline.Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and regulatory bodies.Strong organizational, documentation, and report-writing skills.One Single Term
