We are seeking a visionary Deputy Provost to help steer our strategic priorities, elevate pedagogical practice, and foster an environment where both staff and students thrive.In this senior leadership role, you will work closely with the Provost and collaborate across Colleges, Schools, and professional services to deliver an exceptional academic experience aligned with the standards of our degree-awarding partners and the Office for Students. You will champion innovation, inclusivity, and high-quality teaching—ensuring our academic community is empowered, supported, and equipped for success.What You’ll LeadDrive the delivery of strategic initiatives in learning, teaching, assessment, digital education, and student experienceLead institution-wide and school-level pedagogical innovation, working closely with UK university partnersStrengthen and sustain positive, compliant relationships with awarding partnersProvide strategic leadership across teaching, assessment, and academic staff developmentShape and implement impactful academic quality enhancement activities aligned with B3 metricsMonitor performance data at school, programme, and module levels—and drive continuous improvementSupport periodic review, validation, and revalidation with UK higher education partnersOversee and develop CPD, pedagogical training, and academic performance frameworksPromote scholarship, pedagogical research, and publication across the academic communityBuild communities of practice focused on innovation in curriculum design and teachingChampion emerging educational technologies and cutting-edge teaching methodsAdvise senior leaders on sector developments and their implications for learning and assessmentSupport recruitment, induction, mentoring, and evaluation processes for academic staffContribute to key institutional commitments including the Access and Participation Plan (APP) and TEF2027What You’ll BringEssential:Significant academic leadership experience in a complex, multidisciplinary Higher Education environmentA postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) in an academic field, education, or pedagogyStrong understanding of UK higher education regulation, quality assurance, and contemporary pedagogical trendsProven success leading academic initiatives and cross-functional teamsExperience working with validated and/or franchised UK HE partnershipsExcellent communication, organisational, and time-management skillsA collaborative, adaptable, self-motivated approach to academic leadershipDesirable:Experience leading large-scale change to enhance learning and teaching qualityA PhD in a relevant discipline, education, or pedagogySenior or Principal Fellowship of the HEAExperience in team building, mentoring, and academic staff developmentProficiency with digital learning tools such as Moodle, Canvas, and TurnitinCompliance StatementSuccessful applicants will be required to complete pre-employment checks, including a criminal records check, two references, ID and Right to Work verification, and education confirmation.
