Job Title: Design Drafter IIILocation: Suwanee, Georgia Duration: Direct Hire Full Time Permanent Role JOB DESCRIPTION:The Mechanical Drafter/Designer is responsible for creating detailed drawings and 3D models that illustrate the assembly and construction of various refrigeration systems and mechanical components. This role collaborates closely with engineering, marketing, production, and sales teams to design complete systems, sub-systems, and individual components. Responsibilities include preparing precise drawings that specify part dimensions, materials, quantities, and load capacities, as well as developing 3D representations that show system framing, components, and interconnecting piping.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.Proficient with creating and maintaining component and drawing libraries.Generates 3D models of complete systems indicating framing, components and interconnecting piping.Create drawings on Company’s standard formats. (Purchased parts, sheet metal and assemblies).Develop detailed designs for mechanical equipment using Solid Edge.Produce piping Drawings - Solid Edge.Resolve design problems and review and analyze specifications.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in design draftingTechnical associate's degree or two-year Technical CertificateAble to perform design work and CAD duties with minimum supervision.Must have good communication skills with Engineers and factory personnel on design issues and changes.Be able to work in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP (Bill of Materials) systems for part numbers and any other data that may be required.Be able to contact vendors for appropriate step files or drawings to assist in creating part numbers.Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects to create 3D models.Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.Consult technical handbooks and tables while in drafting phase.Explain concepts to manufacturers and production personnel.BENEFITS:Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401k with Company Matching Contribution Discretionary 401k Company Contribution Tuition Reimbursement Program Life/Disability Insurance Maternity and Paternity Leave 15 Days Paid Vacation and 12 Company Holidays Employee Assistance Program
