Your responsibilities will include creating detailed design plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and coordinating with various stakeholders to deliver safe, functional, and cost-effective engineering solutions.Job RelationsInternal – Design and Estimation Department.External – Vendors, Banks, Subcontractors, Auditors and Other Regulatory bodies.Reporting toDED Manager (Design and Estimation Department)Design & Technical HeadGenderMale/FemaleIndustryConstruction/InfrastructureEmployment TypePermanentMain Duties & ResponsibilitiesDesign and Planning: Develop and refine detailed designs for civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, water systems, and buildings, utilising engineering principles and software tools.Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate design elements and resolve technical issues. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices. Budget and Cost Management: Estimate project costs, manage budgets, and implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining design integrity. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and progress reports.Problem Solving: Address and resolve design and construction challenges, providing innovative solutions as needed.Quality Assurance: Conduct design reviews and inspections to ensure high-quality outcomes and adherence to project specifications.Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure project alignmentRequirements Essential:Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications may be preferred.Experience: 5 to 8 years proven experience in civil design engineering, including hands-on experience with relevant design software and tools.Area of Experience: experience in Infrastructure, Roads and hydrology studies is a must.Very good communication skills.Strong Presentation skills.Skills: Strong technical skills in design and analysis, proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3d, WMS, Sewer gems, Flow master), excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. Desirable:Experience of using ERP D 365 to fetch business information is an asset.Proficiency in Arabic language. Having engineering background is an asset.Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment is an asset.
