Design Engineer

Role : Design EngineerExperience : 3 - 7 YearsLOcation : BangaloreRole OverviewThe Design Engineer will be responsible for design support of custom refrigeration rack systems, including CAD modeling and drafting of rack structures, component assemblies, piping layouts, control panels, and sheet metal components using SolidWorks. The role involves generating submittal and manufacturing drawings in accordance with ANSI and ASTM standards.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently design sheet metal parts and weldment assemblies. Develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs for sheet metal and weldment assemblies. Redesign legacy products to enhance manufacturability and reduce costs. Follow established Product Engineering processes. Participate in Design FMEA and Process FMEA activities to minimize product launch risks. Prepare and submit ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) and maintain accurate documentation. Write and present technical reports for project managers and clients. Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on technical and project details. Take ownership of assigned tasks/projects and deliver results on time. Mandatory SkillsProficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and efficiently convert 2D to 3D (and vice versa). Experience in Structural Design, Sheet Metal, and Weldment Design. Hands-on experience with SolidWorks EPDM. Strong communication skills—both verbal and written.
