Job DescriptionDesign ManagerThe Design Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of the design process for assigned projects, from conceptualization to detailed design development. This role ensures that the design aligns with project objectives, regulatory requirements, cost parameters, and brand standards. The Design Manager collaborates closely with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, innovative, and buildable design solutions on time and within budget.Manages the project during Due Diligence to completion of For Construction Drawings. Coordinates with consultants and colleagues in other business units; reviews and comments on submitted documentation and specifications. Reviews and secures complete documents for all drawing and documentation phases. Secures approval of design and act as gate keeper to ensure design intent is reflected in drawings and all other documentation. Ensures timely submission of deliverables by consultants. Liaises with specialist consultants and suppliers to obtain design information. Conducts on- and off-site meetings to assist in clarifying technical design elements as required. Initiates plans of action on anticipated issues and potential problems. Conducts design management coordination meetings with consultants to identify design conflicts and possible solutions. Provides prompt feedback to supervisor and colleagues in team to ensure information is cascaded in a timely manner. Performs other duties and functions as may be assigned.Qualifications:College graduates with a degree in Architecture and/or Interior Design; license required, but not necessary.With at least 2 years of experience at management level of development and preparation of designs for office and retail fit-out construction projects. Horizontal, Industrial and Hospitality project experience is a plus.With strong drive for results with effective resource management skills.Experienced in collaborating with business leaders, design engineers / architectsAble to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied disciplines and professional backgroundsAble to work under extreme pressure
