Job Description

Your RoleAs a Gensler Interior Designer, your job is to combine creativity and passion for design to produce unique and functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You are a self-motivated, team player who is ready for active participation in all phases of the design process.What You Will DoPerform interior design assignments using professional concepts and proceduresSupport on producing space plans, furniture plans, elevations, sections, joinery/millwork details; conceptual and finished design presentation documentationProvide solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives with the teamSupport the development and production of CAD and BIM drawings packages for design review, tendering and constructionParticipate in selection of FF&E and color and materials for projects in coordination with other team members for presentation to clients and space planning conceptsSupport in producing sketch plan / schematic design documentation of interior layouts, loose furniture, joinery, finishesRender plans and elevations to convey a design concept to a clientResponsible for arranging the finishes library and prepare finishes boards for client presentationsMay be involved in meeting with suppliers and co-ordinate and educate the design team on new materials, brands and special treatmentsSupport the rest of the team with primary design interface with clients and attend client / site meetings as requiredDelivering the highest quality of professional serviceYour Qualifications0-3 years experience with the design of workplace interiors projectsDiploma and / or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of designStrong planning abilities, including development of design concepts, knowledge of furniture and finishes, planning codes, and budgetsSelf-starters with good verbal and written communication skillsStrong skills in presentationsAbility to work well with a teamLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
