Job Description

The DTP Specialist is responsible for preparing, formatting, and finalizing multilingual documents and materials to ensure they meet client and brand standards. This role involves working closely with translators, project managers, and designers to produce high-quality, print- and digital-ready files using industry-standard tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. The DTP Specialist ensures that the visual integrity of the original document is preserved while accommodating linguistic and technical requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and format multilingual documents (birth certificate, NBI clearance, medical records, etc.)Work with translation and localization teams to import, format, and proof translated content.Ensure consistency in layout, typography, and style across languages and formats.Edit and adapt images, graphics, and charts to fit localized versions.Perform quality assurance (QA) checks to verify layout accuracy, alignment, and design integrity.Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and client specifications.Troubleshoot font, encoding, and formatting issues in multilingual content.Optimize and prepare files for delivery or printing, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.Maintain organized file structures and version control for all projects.QualificationsEducation & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Publishing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 1 year experience in desktop publishing, localization, or a related design/production role.Technical Skills:Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and PDF editing tools.Knowledge of CAT tools and translation file formats (e.g., XLIFF, IDML, XML) is an advantage.Understanding of prepress, print production, and digital publishing workflows.Experience with multilingual layout design and font management preferred.Soft Skills:Strong attention to detail and design accuracy.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Good communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in translation/localization companies.Familiarity with automated DTP workflows or scripting (e.g., InDesign scripts) is a plus.Work EnvironmentCollaborative, deadline-driven, and quality-focused environment.May involve flexible working hours based on client time zones or project requirements.
