Development Officer📍 Decatur, GA | 💼 Full-Time | 💰 $70,000–$75,000/yearJoin a mission-driven team committed to ending domestic violence and sexual assault.Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence (WRCDV) is seeking a Development Officer to strengthen and expand our fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for a nonprofit professional who is passionate about creating positive change, skilled in donor engagement, and ready to help grow a dynamic development program.About the RoleAs Development Officer, you will work closely with the Chief Development Officer to execute effective fundraising strategies that fuel our programs and support survivors. You will manage donor communications, support grant and sponsorship efforts, and contribute to campaigns that uplift survivor stories and community impact.Success in this role means building authentic donor relationships, meeting deadlines, and contributing creative ideas to fundraising initiatives that inspire generosity and deepen engagement. You’ll be part of a passionate team working to create a safer, more supportive world for survivors and families.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport agency-wide fundraising strategies and campaignsBuild and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, government entities, and foundation fundersCoordinate and execute donor communications, including email and mail solicitationsWrite personalized thank-you notes and ensure timely tax documentation for donorsManage and maintain accurate donor records using CRM database; reconcile with accounting systemsConduct donor prospecting and research to identify new funding opportunitiesSupport grant writing, tracking, and reporting activitiesAssist in planning and implementing special events, including our annual Champions for Change fundraiserDraft and design content for social media, website, newsletters, and fundraising appealsCollaborate on storytelling and materials including testimonials, videos, and impact reportsProvide responsive support to donor inquiries and community requestsOther responsibilities as assigned by the CDOQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraisingStrong commitment to supporting survivorsProven ability to build and maintain donor relationships with professionalism and warmthExceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail, with strong time management and organizational abilitiesComfort working both independently and collaborativelyExperience with donor databases/CRMs; Canva or design software a plusEvent planning and communications experience preferredWhat We OfferA mission-centered, values-driven workplace where your contributions matterHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offOpportunities for professional developmentA collaborative and supportive team environmentAt WRCDV, we believe safety is a right-not a privilege.
