Job Description

A partner of ours in the crypto-trading space is hiring a DevOps Team Lead to guide a senior team and take ownership of their most critical systems. The role centres on an ultra-low-latency on-prem platform that underpins all trading activity, paired with a modern AWS/EKS environment running their wider services. You’ll step into a position with real influence: shaping reliability, tightening operational discipline, and setting the technical direction for a platform. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate a team of three DevOps engineers.Take full ownership of the core on-prem low-latency platform.Manage incidents independently, including structured post-mortems.Improve reliability, monitoring and internal tooling across the environment.Align DevOps with broader engineering groups and influence technical decisions.Raise operational standards without micro-management.Skills & ExperienceStrong Linux and networking fundamentals.Experience across both on-prem and cloud systems.Solid incident response and operational practice.Strong conceptual understanding; able to learn complex systems quickly.Knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS and AWS services.Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Loki).Credible technical leadership in distributed environments.Conditions & CultureCentral Zurich office with a hybrid set-up; regular on-site presence expected, especially in a team-lead role.Direct reporting line to a co-founder of the business.Best suited to someone constructive, pragmatic and curious about trading, crypto or low-latency engineering.Fixed compensation: CHF 150,000.
