As we expand our footprint across Africa, we are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Business Development Representative to lead our growth in French-speaking North and West African markets.Position Summary:The Business Development Representative will play a key role in developing Aiko Solar’s presence across Francophone Africa, focusing on North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia) and West Africa (Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, others). This position involves identifying strong distribution partners, establishing strategic sales channels, and enhancing Aiko’s brand recognition in both mature and emerging PV markets.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in solar or renewable energy business development, a solid understanding of local market dynamics, and strong communication skills in French and English other Language is a plus. Key Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate, and onboard local distribution and EPC partners aligned with Aiko’s regional strategy.Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.Monitor market trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitive activities across Francophone markets to inform strategic decisions.Drive brand visibility through local marketing initiatives, trade fairs, and industry collaborations.Coordinate with Aiko’s internal teams (technical support, marketing, logistics) to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.Provide sales forecasts, market feedback, and business reports to regional management.Represent Aiko professionally in all customer and stakeholder interactions.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in business development, preferably within the solar, renewable energy, or power sector.Strong network within the Francophone Africa solar ecosystem (distributors, EPCs, developers, or C&I clients) is highly desirable.Fluent in French and English (spoken and written); Arabic is a plus.Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and deliver results.Willingness to travel extensively across North and West Africa.What We Offer:Opportunity to shape Aiko’s footprint in high-growth African markets.Be part of a global technology leader driving solar innovation.Competitive compensation package based on experience and performance.A collaborative, forward-thinking, and innovation-driven work environment.
