Job Description

As a Carrier Relations Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing strategic partnerships with telecom operators and service providers globally. This role focuses on negotiating agreements, ensuring optimal rates and quality, and maintaining strong relationships to support the company’s voice and messaging services. A successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in navigating the dynamic telecom industry to drive business growth and ensure seamless service delivery. Responsibilities:

Managing commercial activities with telecom operators and service providers in the area of voice traffic termination, purchasing DID (ITFS, LNS, Geo, National) numbers, call center services, and OTP traffic termination. Signing new agreements with Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators, as well as finding alternative voice solutions for client traffic. Searching for and negotiating agreements for products in local regions and countries based on client requests (EMEA, GCC, APAC, Africa, LatAm). Participating in commercial negotiations with telecom operators. Monitoring implementation and resolving accompanying issues related to purchasing LNP, with or without outbound termination, from vendors.

Automating and managing the company’s billing, pricing, and routing systems. Creating and maintaining a consolidated matrix for all suppliers and their telecommunications services. Achieving commercial KPIs set on a quarterly basis for the vendor management team. Ensuring effective processes with telecom operators in terms of rates, service quality, and client traffic termination. Disputing charges related to ported/disconnected numbers for DID services. Streamlining tariff loading processes and routing operations based on LCR+ principles. Managing tariffs and pricing for OBC countries. Controlling and reallocating traffic based on credit history and regional specifics of telecom operators.

Onboarding local vendors to expand geographical coverage for LNS/Voice termination services. Collaborating with Operations and Networks teams to form working groups when needed. Coordinating with Product, Marketing, and Financial teams to create task forces as required. Monitoring and optimizing low or negative-profit directions (increasing low-margin countries by 15-20%). Improving routing processes for client traffic by optimizing vendor usage. Interfacing with Provisioning, Deal Desk, Support, NOC, and Compliance departments. Securing favorable rates and terms from providers for services like WhatsApp Business API. Coordinating inter-operator interactions.

Managing the onboarding of new telecom operators, including internal approvals and activation of commercial traffic for various services. Analyzing and assessing telecom market trends, new technologies, and services for commercial purposes. Negotiating and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with international partners and addressing key issues in telecom operator relationships and agreements. Actively contributing to the development and implementation of the company’s strategy. Increasing revenue/reducing costs for the company. Investigating and preventing off-net fraud. Monitoring profitability and preventing commercial losses. Compensation Package: 28 days of paid annual leave. Modern work equipment (MacBook, Bose headphones and etc). Health insurance.

Required Skills: At least 5 years of experience in a VoIP provider or telecom operator company. Strong knowledge of the telecom market, including voice telephony, numbering capacity, SMS, and VAS services. Proficient written and spoken English, additional language is a plus.
