Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:Efficiently perform and deliver quality service, repairs of service workshop in accordance to processes and guidelines set by the principal to ensure quality, efficiency and productivity targets are met. Ensure routine maintenance or service of vehicles as per schedule.Key Accountabilities:Operations: Perform requested repair work in observance of the recommendations and operating procedures to ensure efficient use of time and compliance. Classify chargeable parts and define wear & tear Parts to decide if chargeable or repair. Consult the service advisor or line manager for support and advice for correct diagnosis. Support other technicians on complex repair task as requiredJob Card: Promptly complete the job card and furnish details such as parts that are required, issued and the action taken to maintain a history and record of jobs done for future referenceTools & Equipment: Maintain all test equipment, hand tools and instruments utilized for service purposes to ensure they are in good working condition and operational as per the guidelinesSafety: Observe safety rules for the instruments, equipment’s and tools. Conduct repairs, maintenance work in compliance with HSE policies & procedure and encourage colleagues to practice the same Job Specific InformationTechnician will be involved in repair and troubleshoot and will closely work with the team leader and line manager of the Service unit.Need to have knowledge to test diesel parts in the diesel machines.Need to have knowledge to calibrate the diesel machines.Need to repair the spare partsQualification Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experience2-4 years of minimum experience in repair work & operations within workshop environment.Experience within service/repair is preferred.
