Our dietitians have specialist knowledge of nutrition throughout all stages of the life cycle and provide expert care on a range of issues including fertility and pregnancy, neonatal nutrition, weight and eating concerns, diabetes, oncology, and pelvic floor health concerns.About The RoleThis position is primarily responsible for contributing dietetic advice and medical nutrition therapy within our outpatient service, with additional involvement across inpatient services, student training and research. There will also be opportunity for involvement in a range of departmental projects.A Regular Week May See YouProvide comprehensive nutritional care for women referred through our Diet clinic and/or inpatient wards, including assessment, planning and implementation, monitoring and follow-upAttend team meetings for case discussion and advocating for the nutritional care of your patients.Deliver a monthly group education session as part of a multidisciplinary introduction to new patientsMonitor clinical activity and service delivery to ensure the service is in line with evidence-based practice and meets the needs of our patientsIdentify and be involved in quality improvement activities.About YouYou will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who enjoys working as part of a supportive, collaborative team committed to excellence in patient care.You’ll Bring With YouA Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent tertiary qualificationEvidence of (or eligibility for) Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians AustraliaA minimum of two years’ clinical experience in a health care settingDemonstrated knowledge and experience in women’s health, including pregnancy and fertility issues, pelvic pain, associated gut disorders, and disordered eatingA flexible approach to your work with a willingness to go the extra mile when necessary.Our BenefitsAt the Women’s you will enjoy a culture that is collaborative, supportive and passionate about learning.
