We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Digital Banking Product Owner on VP level.Morgan Stanley is building an industry-leading digital banking and cash management platform that leverages cutting-edge technology to provide clients with self-service capabilities to manage their wealth and personal finances in one central location. We are embarking on a multi-year growth plan to deepen engagement across all channels and enhance our Banking product offering.Our entrepreneurial Digital Platforms team is seeking a high-performing Digital Banking Product Owner with a passion for building innovative technology, developing solutions to complex problems, and helping scale our platform.As a Product Owner, you will lead exciting technology initiatives to bring new products to market for both the Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE client-facing platforms across web and mobile. This is a highly collaborative role in which you will work closely with digital Product Managers and partner with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, operations, legal, risk, compliance, fraud, and business stakeholders to transform the experience for our customers. You will help define and drive the digital product strategy and then develop, launch, and enhance the platform to meet customers’ unique needs.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What You'll Do In The RoleWork in a fun, fast-paced environment designing new and improved banking technology for clients (mobile apps, websites, embedded AI etc.).Design innovative new products with market-leading competitive advantages that revolutionize how people manage and spend their money.Create a vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital banking product offerings.Deliver new products by partnering directly with technology, business, and operations teams to define and write requirements, manage the overall project plan, and execute deliverables.Lead client research, requirements development, and user experience design for new digital products.Support usability testing and translate findings into product improvements that drive increased adoption.Research and analyze the digital banking and wealth management industries, with a focus on cash management and digital payments.Present findings to executive management, and drive change execution aligned with Wealth Management prioritiesWhat You'll Bring To The Role8+ years of professional experience in wealth management, retail banking, and/or consumer financial technology.8+ years of professional experience in technology product management and design.Software development lifecycle experience preferred.BA/BS required; MBA (or advanced degree) preferred.Skills/AbilitiesDeep understanding of web and mobile technologiesDeep understanding of Retail Banking competitive landscape and emerging technologiesSharp focus on usability and designExcellent relationship building capabilities with internal and external partners Understanding of Banking business risk and control mechanismsIndependent initiative and ability to operate in a fast paced environmentStrong attention to detail in both technical and non-technical capacityStrategic thinker able to define and evaluate alternatives, and translate goals into specific project tasksExcellent communicator with solid written and verbal presentation skillsSolid business understanding to align product goals with organizational objectivesEffective communication to collaborate and influence more junior team members and stakeholdersAnalytical skills to dive deep into data, identify trends, and inform product decisions.Technical proficiency to understand the development process and support implementationProblem-solving ability to navigate challenges and refine solutionsTeam collaboration to work closely with cross-functional teams and foster a productive environment.#BPDBAWhat You Can Expect From Morgan StanleyAt Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
