The OpportunityWe’re recruiting a Digital Content Editor (6/8 months contract) for a leading organisation in the higher education sector. This key role will shape the institution’s digital presence - ensuring its website and intranet deliver accurate, engaging, and accessible content that meets audience needs.Reporting to the Head of Content, you’ll champion a user-first approach, using data and best practice to drive consistency, accessibility, and impact across all digital channels.This will be a 6/8 months contract to begin with.Key responsibilities include:Editing and optimising content across the university’s website and intranet to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibilityAdvising and mentoring colleagues on writing for the web, content governance, and SEO best practiceUsing analytics and audience insights to identify content gaps and opportunities for improvementChampioning digital accessibility and inclusive content design in line with WCAG 2.2 standardsSupporting the wider content community with training, templates, and editorial guidanceAuditing existing pages and helping content owners maintain a healthy content lifecycleAbout YouStrong digital copywriting and editing experienceConfident using CMS platforms (e.g. Contensis, Sitecore, or Drupal)Understanding of SEO, analytics tools (e.g. GA4, Siteimprove) and accessibility standardsExcellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skillsExperience in higher education, public sector, or complex organisations desirableThis is a brilliant opportunity to join a respected university driving digital excellence.Hybrid working: 2–3 days per week in central London.For more information or to apply, get in touch today.**********************************************************************************Due to a high volume of applicants, we are unable to respond to everyone.
